A Helping Hand - Home Care was started in 2017 from Vern's desire to help his elderly parents. After 17 years in the I/T field, Vern started A Helping Hand - Home Care with just himself and a dream. Now he has 25+ emloyees who help the elderly and home bound stay in their home as long as possible. Our employees are reliable, compassionate, trustworth, and hard working.

Services Offered

Our highest priorities are the health and safety of our clients and our employees. We communicate with the client’s family, work with the family and agree on the best care we can provide, keep the client and the staff safe. Covid - 19 safety is always a priority.

A Helping Hand Home Care is your source for home care in the Mason City, Iowa, area. With aging parents we all know the difficulties experienced with the elderly. Jobs that were once easy to complete become more difficult and exhausting.

A Helping Hand opened in January 2018. We have 20+ employees that help provide personal care for each of our clients everyday. Our goal is to help the elderly or disabled with daily tasks for them to remain independent whether in their own home or in assisted living.

A Helping Hand keeps in constant contact with family members that want to know how their loved one is doing. Notes are recorded from the employee during every client visit and can be shared with the family if desired.
